The eighth seed of the tournament Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan outplayed the Czech Katerina Siniakova in R1 of St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2020 – 6/3, 6/4. The match lasted 1 hour and 19 minutes. Elena aced 2 times and made 1 double fault, while her opponent – 0 and 3 accordingly.

«I lost my concentration a bit in the second set dropping my serve but then I managed to win this match. I have good memories from this tournament. It’s always nice to play here and I really enjoy playing at this tournament», – Elena said after the match.

In the next round Elena Rybakina will face the winner of the match Caroline Garcia (FRA) vs Anastasija Sevastova (LAT).
