CHILDREN’S DAY WITH BALL KIDS AND CATHERINE MCNALLY AT SIBUR ARENA
On February 11, St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2022 hosted the Children’s Day with ball kids and US tennis player Catherine McNally participating. Interesting games and prizes were waiting for the children. Within the event, two fascinating rounds of questions and puzzles were held. In the first one, which was called “Heads and Tails”, the ball kids were asked geographical questions. For example: “Which country has the cleanest air?” Everyone who answered correctly received notepads as a gift. The second round – “Where is the logic?” – consisted of solving puzzles. Here, the most erudite child received a shopper bag as a prize for the biggest number of correct answers. Russian ball kids boys enjoyed talking to Catherine McNally. They enthusiastically asked the tennis player a variety of questions. “How do you like St. Petersburg?” – some asked. “Do you love Russia?” – others wondered. “How did you start playing tennis?” – they continued…

Catherine patiently and kindly answered everything: this is her first time in Russia, she really enjoys this very beautiful city and considers the local architecture simply magnificent. The American also told about her childhood, as well as about how she fell in love with tennis, picking up a racket for the first time. “I started playing tennis when I was 3-year old. My mom is a coach, and my older brother plays tennis, I grew up in a tennis family,” said McNally, who charmed all the ball boys who came to the event.
