ENTERTAINING CLOSING CEREMONY SHOW – THE FINAL CHORD OF ST. PETERSBURG LADIES TROPHY 2022

On February 13, SIBUR ARENA hosted the closing ceremony of the seventh international women’s tournament St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2022, which was attended by: Alexander Ivanovich Medvedev, General Director of the tournament, General Director of Zenit Football Club, Advisor to the General Director of Gazprom Export LLC, Alexander Nikolaevich Belsky, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Natalia Aleksandrovna Kamelzon, WTA tournament Director, General Director of FORMULA TENNIS HOCKEY, Iva Majoli, winner of Roland Garros 1997, member of the tournament directorate, Igor Leonidovich Shchurov, Director of Canon Consumer Direction in Russia, Mariana Alves, WTA Supervisor.

The main characters, of course, were the winners of the St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2022 in doubles and singles: Anna Kalinskaya (Russia)-Catherine McNally (USA) and Anett Kontaveit (Estonia). The participants of both finals sincerely thanked the organizers of the tournament for the hospitality, excellent organization of the tournament and promised to come back again.

As part of the ceremony, the directorate of the St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy tournament was also awarded with the «Best tournament of 2021» award in the WTA 500 category.

In addition to the official part the audience saw a bright and dynamic performance on the court. The light show went along with the dance and musical accompaniment. Famous Russian and world stars took part in it: 158 CREW (two-time European champions according to Hip hop Unite), Dmitry Piven (composer of the official anthem of St. Petersburg Open 2018, St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2019, 2021), Taras Stanin (one of the best beatboxers in the world (top 25) according to GBB WILDCARDS World League 2019), LIONS (four-times Russian champions and two-times European champions in breakdancing), Khitarova Mariam (finalist of the show “Two Voices” on STS and the project “Children’s New Wave”), Khitarova Diana (semifinalist of the show “Voice”, winner of 2 awards of the project “Children’s New Wave”), Chilitskaya Elena (producer of the morning show and host of the live broadcast on Radio Zenit 89.7 FM, host of Retro FM, Spring FM, Peter FM radio stations) and DJ Grin (DJ of the largest dance competitions in Russia and international events).
